The Mayor Jiaomeng Mai’s Visit to the College
On September 10, Jiaomeng Mai, the Deputy Secretary of Municipal Committee and the Mayor of Huizhou, along with the government officials visited the City College of Huizhou. The mayor expressed his best wishes to the faculty of the College.
Mai first visited the west campus, and gathered information about campus construction and usage. As Mai learned that students and the faculty were having difficulty commuting to the campus, he immediately offered to expand the public transportation network to cover the campus. Later during the forum, the Principal of the College Qingning Deng reported the overall progress of the City College of Huizhou and the Trade and Tourism School, and proposed a three-year plan for future development.
After listening carefully to advice and comments from the audience, Mai then pointed out, “the teaching faculty of the City College of Huizhou is a young team full of passion, and Qingning Deng, a responsible and creative principal with ambition, has gone through a long way to establish the college.” Towards the end of his visit, Mai wished that the City College of Huizhou would grow into a star of education in the Southern China.
